PFAFF Club

If you are lucky enough to own a PFAFF machine you are eligible to come to PFAFF Club once a month. We learn techniques, using different accessories such as feet, etc. and have lots of fun. This is a great way to create great projects using the capabilities of your machine.

The classes are machine specific - to keep me from going crazy - so give us a call and we will slot you into the class for your machine. You don’t want to miss PFAFF Club.

If you are not on our email list and want to participate please call the store for the project and supplies a week ahead of your class.

MAKE ‘N’ TAKE

Earth Day is April 22 and to encourage you to “Go Green” joining us to make a shopping tote from 1:00 - 4:00. For a toonie you can come and make a bag, have a little fun and fellowship.

Many of us make gifts for new babies. So we have put together some inspiration and ideas of items you can make for baby and baby care. It will be an afternoon of inspiration. We will have door prizes and free patterns to help get you started.

JUST FOR FUN

We continue to offer three monthly sessions. An enjoyable afternoon or evening out away from it all. Cost is $25. per session, kit included. All classes will offer kits in a variety of colours so there will be something for everyone. What could be easier. Join us for them all or when you can, but please register.

It’s in the Bag - well, the “old bag lady” has outdone herself. She has been designing and making a number of different bags - and there are some truly unique bags - like March. The sessions will be held the first Tuesday of the month from 1:00 - 4:00 or 7:00 - 10:00.

Runner Runway - a venue of stylish tablerunners you can use to change seasonally, give as gifts for showers, birthdays, etc. We will be using a number of techniques to create one of a kind table linens. The sessions will be held the second Tuesday of the month 1:00 - 4:00 or 7:00 - 10:00.

Strippers Anonymous - projects made from strips are the focus of this once a month event. Each month a different project will be offered. We will be making a variety of items using pre-cut strips and maybe some squares.

Scrap Remedy

The sessions are six weeks and the cost is $40.

We all have scraps, being the good sewers that we are never throwing anything away. However they do tend to take over if we don’t do something with them. This six week session will help you to tame your scraps. We will be organizing them and then putting them to good use. Remedy your scrap situation and join us beginning February 4.

Block of the Month

Classes are $10. each plus supplies.

We are trying something new this year. We will have a Block of the Month that you will come and sew with us the fourth Tuesday of the month. The quilt we have chosen is the BE ATTITUDES by Nancy Halvarson of Art to Heart. Each month we will create a block which you can use as a monthly wallhanging or at the end of the year make it into a quilt. This would be a great project if you wish to learn to applique. What a wonderful baby quilt or child’s quilt. The first session is January 26.

SS Sampler

Because you have asked for it, SS Sampler is back. We have a number of colour choices for you to choose from. You come in a sign up with a registration of $20. and choose your colour palette. Each week you pick up a kit, and make the blocks. The next week you pick up another and make up the blocks. The last block you pick up includes the finishing kit and instructions to complete your quilt.

The quilt this time is a large queen. There are eighteen blocks plus filler blocks. Each week you will make one block plus a filler block. The cost will be $5. for the two blocks each week and the finishing kit will be $70. The first pickup day will be February 6.
